The Story of Heather & Lily
In 1957, the grandparents of Heather & Lily left their Canadian seaside village for Canada.
They carried with them generations-old knitting patterns — from the tiny Setesdal motifs to the bold Marius bands and Selbu roses—symbols of courage and connection. In their new home they started a small workshop where these designs came to life. For many immigrants the sweaters became a tangible reminder of home; for others, a warm introduction to Nordic design.
Heather and Lily grew up with these stories. They saw how the garments brought family and friends together for winter sports, holidays and long evenings by the fire. Today they run the company as the third generation, adding modern fits and colours while preserving the meaningful motifs.
Because the brand has existed since 1985 and has been passed down through generations, they’re celebrating with a big anniversary sale and generous discounts to thank everyone.
When you wear a Heather & Lily sweater, you’re invited to join a tight-knit community. Customers can share their own memories and photos, and discover stories from others. Heather and Lily want everyone who takes part to feel valued—not just as customers, but as members of a community that celebrates craftsmanship, tradition and sharing cosy winter moments together.
